Times have never been headier for Boeing. It booked record orders in 2005 and 2006. Its new 787 is scheduled for rollout on July 8 - that's 7/8/07. The Dreamliner, as it is known, is living up to its name. It is the fastest-selling new airplane ever, with more than 500 ordered so far; it is sold out for years to come.

Boeing's big project for this year is to get a dream project off the ground--literally. The aviation giant's first 787 Dreamliner is scheduled to emerge from the factory on July 8, with a first flight anticipated for later in the summer. This is Boeing's first all-new airplane in about a decade.

Next time you decide to take a little joyride behind a Boeing 747 with its engines at full throttle cranking out 58,000 lb. of thrust each, think of this video from the Brit car series Top Gear. Forget how small electronics fare in a blender. We want to see how large machinery stands up to a 747!

Boeing helps CIA fly kidnapped suspects abroad for torture. "All the people were in black clothes and black masks. They put earplugs in my ears and a sack over my head." After putting chains on his legs, they led him onto the plane. "They threw me on the floor and injected me with something. I blacked out."

From the article: "A US ship has located the "black box" flight recorders of the Indonesian plane that went missing on 1 January, the US embassy said. The USNS Mary Sears, which has been helping hunt for the missing Boeing 737, detected a distinctive signal from the boxes on the ocean floor. The Adam Air flight, which went missing halfway through its flight from Java to Sulawesi, had 102 people on board."
